Team

Grigor Hovhannisyan

Grigor Hovhannisyan is a serial entrepreneur with expertise in security systems, investing in technology and electronics industries. He is the President at BANA Angels, the 1st and the most active angel network in Armenia, founder of Premier Integrated Technologies, that has a contract with The Department of Homeland Security. Grigor has been in the Armenian Tech scene since 2003 as a co-founder of now the largest FinTech startup Idram (exited in 2016).

Karen Vardanyan

Karen Vardanyan holds around 10 years of diverse experience in finance and banking at HSBC. He co-founded Sprint Crowdfunders’ Fund, a unique fund investing in IoT projects that are entering the market through crowdfunding. Since mid-2018s, more than 200 projects from 26 countries backed by the Sprint have raised more than $100M.

Sona Veziryan

Sona Veziryan is the Director at BANA Angels, the first and most active Angel Network in Armenia with 30 startups in the portfolio and over $3,5M invested through the network. She has a solid background in working with startups on their business development and has led a number of successful deals. Sona is also the Co-founder and Syndicate Lead at The Syndicate by BANA, which pioneered syndicate vehicles in Armenia.

Sona Mirzoyan

Sona Veziryan is a PR & Communications Specialist. She is also the Head of Communications at BANA Angels, Communications Manager at The Factory. In 2023 Sona initiated VC Journalism Bootcamp - an educational initiative aimed at providing journalists and reporters with insights of Armenian VC and tech ecosystem, educate on key terms of venture capital,and build a bridge between VCs and media representatives.
